Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program Flyer
South Florida Healthcare Institute Nursing Assistant Training program is taught by credentialed nursing instructors with professional experience. Our Nurse Assistant Training program delivers an engaging curriculum that meets state and federal education regulations. Theory and skills practice, including a clinical experience at a skilled nursing facility, is conducted under nursing supervision. The course content focuses on critical thinking, decision-making and team concepts while incorporating elements of care and communication/interpersonal skills. Nursing Assistants work in a variety of patient-care settings, such as nursing homes, long-term care facilities, acute rehabilitations, the hospital, and more, under the direction of a nurse. Duties include taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic tasks.
Our Nursing Assistant Training program is completed via blended Learning (digital + classroom): The dynamic content, with movie-quality videos, expert segments and story-based interactive sections, is a refreshing alternative to “read-test-repeat” online theory formats. Preview the Blended Learning video content.
Students can generally expect to complete their training and be ready to take their state certification exam to become a licensed or certified nurse assistant (CNA) within 4 to 8 weeks of beginning their training. A certificate is issued at the successful completion of the program in accordance with Florida guidelines. Graduates are eligible to take the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification examination. The Florida Department of Health/Board of Nursing will issue a license, to those who pass the examination.
Program Length: 120 hours (4-5 weeks full-time). Program Offered: Rolling admission. Delivery Method: Blended Learning - Theory portion is completed online, Lab and Clinicals are completed in person.
